Musical Vocabulary Words - Mood
Some markings indicate the mood or charactor of a piece. Many of these words are in Italian.
Some markings that describe a mood (or character) also suggest a tempo.

Agitato
— agitated, with implied quickness
Dolce — sweetly (If you go to an Italian restaurant and ask for 'una dolce' the waiter will bring you a desset!!)
Giocoso — merrily
Maestoso — majestic or stately (not fast!)
Morendo — dying (fading away)
Scherzando - playful
